Orbital Space Debris Danger
Above is a computer-generated image representing space debris as could be seen from high Earth orbit. The two main debris fields are the ring of objects in geosynchronous Earth orbit (GEO) and the cloud of objects in low Earth orbit (LEO).
No, this wasn't caused by some natural process or by some alien sabotage of our space programs. This situation was gradually created by the same irresponsibility that caused the littering of our oceans. ironic that as mankind strives to explore space it makes space exploration far more dangerous than it had been before-isn't it?
