Can you be a Christian and MAGA?
The letters stand for Making America Great Again. It is a slogan made popular by the POTUS, Donald Trump, who claims that presently, America isn't as great as it was once, and that we as USA citizens should strive to MAGA. Well, the answer to the thread question depends on what the USA citizen considers necessary in order to MAGA.
You see, the POTUS focused much of the problem on illegal aliens which he described as a veritable plague. Now, what the POTUS means by former greatness, isn't quite clear since the POTUS isn't too keen on provided detailed explanations for his claims. What is clear to many of his followers, unfortunately, is that the people he blames do not deserve the respect that other persons deserve. In turn that makes them feel entitled to persecute and humiliate all people who physically resemble such people. In such cases then, cruelty becomes the modus operandi. Such individuals feel empowered to hate, persecute and sometimes even kill in the process.
But, that's where their claim to Christianity becomes hollow since hatred of others and cruelty to others is not what Jesus taught. Jesus taught forgiveness and kindness instead. So the answer to the question of whether or not one can be a Christian and MAGA , depends on how you go about doing so. Certainly opening fire on a crowd of people isn't the Christian way. Neither is choking someone to death. Neither is insulting people at church or in other public places in order to MAGA. in such cases the person trying to MAGA is imitating Satan the Devil who takes pleasure in cruelty of humans to one another.
But of course, if you try to MAGA while trying to behave in a way that Reflects the personality of our Lord and Savior Jesus, and do not strive to violate any of his instructions, then I suppose you can legitimately say you are a Christian. I hues it boils down to avoiding behavior that provides irrefutable evidence of flagrant hypocrisy.
Luke 10:27

Romans 13:9
For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (NKJV)
Galatians 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (NKJV)
James 2:8
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well ... (NKJV)

Here the Apostle Paul explained that a Christian's obligation to love is without limits. Believers are to love not only other members of the family of God, but their fellow men as well:
Romans 13:9
For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (NKJV)
Paul summarized the law, reminding the Galatians that Christians are commissioned by God to love one another deeply and wholly:
Galatians 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (NKJV)
Here James is addressing the problem of showing favoritism. According to God's law, there should be no acts of favoritism. All people, non-believers included, deserve to be loved equally, without distinction. James explained the way to avoid favoritism:
James 2:8
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well ... (NKJV)
