The 100 Year Journey to Proxima centaury B.
This video describes a hypothetical a one-hundred-year-long journey to the Planet Proxima Centaury B. and describes the survival strategies necessary in order to make such a trip possible.
Because of the trip's long duration, of course, the age of the chosen passengers must be taken into serious consideration. After all, even a 15 year old teenager would be 105 years old upon the arrival. So the vast majority of those arriving would probably be those who had been born on the ship.
Also, considering what we presently know about the star and the planet, why would they want travel there? After all, the planet is believed to be tidally locked to it's star, which means that it would likely be presenting only one side of its surface towards it, like our moon does to our Earth, making be like an oven on one side and like a freezer on the other.
Furthermore, unlike our sun which is stable, Proxima increases in size and in its deadly radiation output which would kill any living organism that might be exposed to it.
Additionally, there is the issue of human relations on board the ship for such a long duration of time. Considering how irrational humans tend to be here on Earth, where they have plenty of room to spare, imagine the hell that can break lose if you confine a large group of humans to close physical and psychological proximity for their entire lives.
