Traps in the Ruy Lopez Opening

     I think that the constant warnings about everyone being familiar with the Ruy Lopez, and that studying it is futile due to its seemingly endless complexities, has caused many players to become unfamiliar with the Ruy Lopez. So when you play the Ruy Lopez, opponents seem confounded because virtually nobody plays it anymore. Ironic, isn't it?
