I was not suggesting murdering sexual Child abusers
There has been a serious misunderstanding concerning a statement that I posted in reference to a man who was shown tied to a pole on a public street because he had committed sexual child abuse.
The ones who had tied him to the pole, were shown mocking him. In response to this scene, I suggested that sexual child abusers should receive capital punishment instead of just being tied to a pole.
Unfortunately, some Twitter administrator understood that to mean that I was encouraging those responsible for tying him up, to murder him instead.
Well, no, I was definitely not suggesting that Child abusers should be murdered, as some Twitter administrator understood my post to be saying. I was merely suggesting that sexual child abuse receive the capital punishment verdict in a court of law after guilt has been established via a trial at a court of law. Nothing more. Why Twitter administration jumped to that drastic conclusion, that I am encouraging murder, is way beyond me.
BTW:
Their concern about the encouraging of violence comes across as rather blatantly hypocritical. After all, they are constantly encouraging violence by featuring videos dedicated to the display of violence as entertainment.
So their condemnation of my suggestion, is similar to the owner of a Roman coliseum condemning a private citizen for suggesting that child sexual abuse should receive the capital punishment sentence.
ADDENDUM: I just received an email with an apology and a reversal of their banning decision.
