I as a reader, was unable to visualize the people being mentioned by name or title, such as Jenkins, Williams, the Auditor, the wayward Captain being punished, or the three slugs, because they are very simply not physically described.
So they necessarily remained just bodiless talking voices with names appearing and disappearing at the whim of the author. Neither was I able visualize the ship nor its cargo because they are also left undescribed.
In short, the absence of visual imagery, left me in visual perceptual limbo.
Yes, it was awarded a Five-Star Awesome rating.
As for the story itself? Well, it seems to be promoting the infliction of evil for evil as a virtue, something that I as a Christian find unable to accept.
Romans 12:17-21
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good
