Martin Luther: A Return to Grace
Luther was right. We cannot Earn salvation and need not be constantly worrying about not attending meetings, not preaching, not teaching and handing out literature, as Jehovah's Witnesses constantly do. Jesus's Ransom sacrifice is is of sufficient value to cover our sins and is the only basis why we have an opportunity to gain eternal life.
Yes, we are certainly expected to show appreciation and respect by our behavior, and if we choose evil over goodness, then that will be considered a rejection of Jesus. However, it doesn't mean the Jesus' sacrifice is deficient in some way. It merely means that the person chose the way that leads to death as opposed to the way that leads to life.
But if we sincerely wish to do God's will, and we sin despite our sincere efforts to remain Christians, then there is absolutely no reason to go moping around constantly worrying whether or not one will be suddenly and unceremoniously destroyed during Armageddon as these misguided people do.
In fact, to do so is an expression of disrespect for what Jesus did and identifies the person as either not understanding what the purpose of Jesus' arrival and death on Earth was, or else, that they are purposefully rejecting God's plan and choosing one of their own.

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
