Do I Regret Being Banned from Story Star?
To make a long story a little shorter, no, I do not regret being banned from that so called writer's website although I do regret having posted my stories there. Why? Well, very simple. You see, a writer's website should not be for the unqualified, hypocritically stroking of writers' egos regardless of how horribly they write. Instead, a writer website should strive to assist writers to improve by providing useful feedback in reference to their writing. This involves making writers aware of their basic mistakes.
Unfortunately, that is not part of the Story Star website policy. Instead, Story Star's, prime goal is to make EVERY single writer FEEL like a Star, regardless of how badly he or she might write.
To be honest, when I responded to some stories with two-star ratings, I was being extremely kind, since they really deserved a 1-star vote which is POOR. But because I rightfully expected it would rile up the administrator, who vehemently demands that members should be made to feel like stars in reference to their writing abilities no matter how badly they might write, I obediently limited myself to Two stars which indicates that the writing is Good, although it definitely wasn't.
Administrator response to my two-star= fair ratings? Vehement anger, tagging me a Two-Star bandit, and banning me.
Then there is also the matter of blatant undisguised favoritism which virtually borders on worship by the administrator and the very few writers there who provide some meager totally unhelpful feedback, such as
"Nice story" "Interesting!" "Thanks for sharing!" but who are far too intimidated by banning-possibilities to dare to provide anything else.
But there is one peculiar exception. You see, while being extremely reluctant to provide any useful feedback to the vast majority of other regular writers, certain Story Star regulars there who are exceedingly fond of focusing their undivided attention on only one member whom they constantly choose to lavish with praise.
Even worse, whereas the Story Star administrator might respond to other stories with cryptic and provocative double-entendres, or one-word quips, such as "Horrible", "Sad", Frightening", she is all over the place with this pet writer dude, regardless of what he writes and how he chooses to write it.
It is really annoying to see her fomenting this noxious situation via totally ignoring her pet member's flaws, [every writer has flaws] and finding any slight verbal twitch he might casually emit as being exceedingly praiseworthy.
In short, this member is very obviously considered a pet member and anyone daring to evaluate his work with less than a five-star Awesome rating, will inevitably draw her unmerciful ire and draw her immediate email banning threats.
To make matters worse, this highly-privileged pet-writer will immediately inform Story Star administration if his rating is not a Five-Star-Awesome one, knowing that his peevish reaction will set the threats of banning procedure against the member who dared to rate his work as less than Awesome, into immediate motion.
So back to the original question:
"Am I sad because I am banned from such a sorry travesty of a writer's forum? No I am not! Goodbye and good riddance."

Such a policy entails the following.
Ignoring basic grammatical errors such as
Sentence fragments, run-on sentences,
Improper or partial or total lack of punctuation.
No paragraphing

Classification often given? 5 stars! Awesome!
No paragraphing. Just one big unreadable blob of words splattered on the screen.
Rampant misspellings of very commonly used words. Such as using the word "to" for "too".
Acceptable Classification? Three stars or Good!

People's first-names, such as John, Joe, Bill, Martha, Janet or Jill being used for main characters without providing absolutely no physical description, such as age, race, hair color or hair texture, eye color, height, body structure such as height or weight, nor even how these disembodied voices are dressed nor their location etc. In short the reader sees nothing, but only hears voices.
Acceptable Classification? 5 stars! Awesome!
Stories lacking conflict or any drama at all and being extremely and monotonously predictable.
