But how do we Differentiate?
"But how are we to Differentiate?" atheistic scientists tend to say wide eyed and seemingly totally baffled during a conversation concerning DNA as a code displaying evidence of a creative mind.
Now, such a question is definitely appropriate for matters that are paradoxically complex yet extremely similar, and in that way making a distinction between or among the things involved, either extremely difficult or impossible. But when such a response is deployed in reference to things that are totally different, then it conveys either two things,
1. An inability to reason
2. A stubborn refusal to reason.
Unfortunately, the people who express themselves that way concerning the DNA evidence, are the very people, who because of their high educational level, should know better. Yet instead, they brazenly tend to use that excuse in order to avoid admitting the obvious.
In the story below, this very typical stubborn refusal to reason catches the attention of the two fictional seminary students Roy Ubaldini, a young Italian American, and Bill Jones, a young African American. Their conversation takes place as they sit conversing while sitting on on a campus bench during the summer season.
After contemplating the marvels of creation as displayed by a beehive on a nearby tree where the insects are displaying the instincts that testify to intelligent design, the subject finally got around to the attitude described above.
"Marvelous how the creator has endowed the bees with all that instinctive knowledge isn't it?" Roy said "How they are able to construct the beehive with hexagonal chamber, indicate direction to flowers in order to locate nectar, ten to the larva, cool the beehive with the flapping of their wings. All that knowledge contain within the DNA . Strange how atheist mental abilities are suddenly totally paralyzed and they refuse to see isn’t it" Roy asked his fellow seminary student Bill who was sitting next to him on the Saint Mary's Seminary campus bench awaiting their next class to start.
They had been holding a conversation concerning how people who behave totally normally, suddenly seem to become completely mentally-paralyzed whenever faced with matters that they cannot stomach. This phenomenon had baffled Roy all his life, but had become far more prominent now that he had begun taking religious matters in earnest.
Bill felt the same way. They had conversed about it numerous times and considered the phenomenon so strange, that they kept returning to it, as if suddenly introduced to some mutant, exotic animal at a zoo whose incomprehensible existence from a biological point of view was fascinating.

Bill felt the same way. They had conversed about it numerous times and considered the phenomenon so strange, that they kept returning to it, as if suddenly introduced to some mutant, exotic animal at a zoo whose incomprehensible existence from a biological point of view was fascinating.
“Yes it is very strange!" Bill replied calmly, feeling that although their conversation was always almost identical, it was his responsibility as a seeker of truth to try to unravel it as if it had been some Gordian knot. After all, brains that had been methodically taught to think cogently, yet seemed to become totally paralyzed when presented with inevitable conclusions, were indeed baffling.
“Yet, despite all the overwhelming evidence, "Roy said, "they stubbornly persist. It’s as if they were totally unaware of the contradiction between what they are professing,. and the illogical. way that they contradict it," Roy added, as he always did during this conversation.
“Strange, and totally unexpected. After all, these individuals are people of a far greater intelligence than average," Bill responded tiredly. It always felt like an almost unbearable burden to try to logically unravel such an obviously illogical attitude. After all, one doesn’t expect scientifically-trained minds to display irrationality. Especially when such persons have demonstrated that have been meticulously trained to reason cogently by being logical in all other matters.
“True!" Roy said," it's a very annoying character-flaw. A sort of voluntary masquerade that they automatically assume whenever they deem it convenient, and then divest themselves of it when not."
“Yep! They seems to prefer pantomiming imbecilities rather than experience the severe psychological agonies that they would undergo if they chose to remain true to their profession!" Bill added tiredly, as if the mere contemplation of such a behavior were almost an unbearable burden.
Roy pondered his response for several minutes. He didn’t want their conversation to be a repetition of their many others. But it seemed inevitable, so he asked the same crucial question.
“Then why do they choose science as their profession to begin with?"
Bill always felt an intense and almost uncontrollable inner-rage whenever he was obligated to enumerate the unjustifiably and unprofessional reasons that motivated these persons. A very bitter thing to contemplate, but truth was truth:
“Simple," Bill said in an emotionally-charged voice," it's because all of them have this intense curiosity concerning the unknown for one. Then there is the very good salary along with the prestige of being considered a man of science. After all, it means that other far less educated people, which is most of mankind, will look up to them as a luminaries of accurate knowledge. People who help to scatter the dark clouds of ignorance which tend to plague certain societies." Bill hesitated before saying what he was about to say:
"A person similar to Jesus who is considered an infallible source if truth."
Roy felt a surge of rage at the comparison. As always, he needed to contradict it.
"Your comparison always irks me Roy!" Roy said barely able to contain his emotions.
"It seems like blasphemy to compare our Lord Jesus Christ with such selfish individuals. After all, Jesus never chose to reject truths just because truths might have been annoying to him. He accepted reality as it was. For example, he accepted that he needed to die in order to save mankind. Let your will be done, Jesus had said humbly in the Garden of Gethsemane on the night of his capture and knowing full well that unpleasantness that awaited him. In contrast, these people, these so called men of science vehemently and constantly rejected truths simply because the acceptance of such truths causes them psychological distress.
"How do you differentiate? Considering the compelling clarity of the evidence? That is a very unjustifiable question to ask, if you ask me."
