Stream of Consciousness Poetry

     This is a type of free-verse poetry that depends on a stream of thoughts that spontaneously arise in the writer's mind and which he then records and organizes into a poem. It is a kind of  poetry that I greatly admire but have never quite been able to get a grip on.  One reason is that I sometimes can't make any sense of what these poets are trying to convey if anything at all. After all, writing nonsense isn't hard. It's easy.  So why should it be considered art? So I am repeatedly forced into considering the poem an abstract work of art that has value in the phonetics and creative juxta-positioning of unique imagery and not just on the meanings. 

     The video attempts to provide a system by which we can access recesses of our minds that will facilitate becoming proficient in this genre of poetry.  I have not as yet applied the principle in the video, but when do if the technique works then I will recommend it.  By the little bit I heard while writing this introduction, it still seems as if most the work will be how to organize all the disconnected concepts into one coherent whole which is acceptable as art and not just a bunch of disconnected drivel.
