Residential Building struck by Russian Rocket attacks.
Sure, I can definitely understand Putin's frustration in having that bridge destroyed and having to see Ukrainians celebrating the destruction. His pride is hurt due to his inability to force Ukraine yield via threats and military aggression.
However, I cannot understand why Putin feels that killing Ukrainian civilians is necessary, and that it is suddenly not a war-crime. After all, a bridge is a legitimate military target, as are railroads, military airports, tanks, artillery etc. But residential buildings packed with civilians?
Why? What exactly is accomplished by this except to garner the condemnation of the civilized world and to be tagged as a murderous savage worthy of being brought to trial as was done at the Nuremburg trials involving those who violated human rights under Hitler during WWII?
