Did Nephilm Survive the Flood?
At this website, the author of the article proposes that the Nephilim, or the offspring of human females and materialized rebel angels, survived the Flood that God had specifically designed to wipe them out.

The idea might seem a bit offensive, but is it really? Well, please consider what was involved in that event.
1. God sees an earth full of violence and decides he will cleanse it to give mankind a fresh start.
2. God chooses eight people to repopulate the post-Flood world
Now, when we say God, we are speaking of the God described in the Bible as being
a. Almighty
b. All-wise
c. Righteous
d. Loving
All of these qualities influence his decisions. Of course, the first one, being almighty, prevents anyone or anything from frustrating his plans or his purpose.
Isaiah 43:13
Even from eternity I am He, and none can deliver out of My hand. When I act, who can reverse it?"
Daniel 4:35
All the peoples of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does as He pleases with the army of heaven and the peoples of the earth. There is no one who can restrain His hand or say to Him, 'What have You done?”
For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?
Isaiah 14:27
2 Chronicles 20:6
And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

His wisdom assures that his plans are flawless. His other qualities Love and Righteousness make guarantee that no injustice occurs. All these qualities apply to God's idea of a global Flood as a means to rectify matters on Earth.
One of the ways that he did it is described in the book of Jude where we are told that the rebel angels were not allowed to continue working mischief after the flood but were restricted to a condition called Tartarus. We are also told that he chose eight humans from among all the Earth, humans that must be assumed to have been uncontaminated since otherwise that would have made a global flood useless. Yet another way was by having the hybrid children of those abnormal marriages destroyed without hopes of any resurrection.
Now, if we say that God imprisoned the rebel angels to prevent illicit, abnormal activity occurring after the Flood, and then say that God ALLOWED nephilim bloodlines on the ark, or allowed Nephilm spirits to do exactly what their rebel fathers had done before the Flood, then the Flood event turns out to have been useless and God comes out looking foolish, incompetent or else not as in control as the Bible tells us he is.
After all, if an event meant to destroy and stop a certain activity doesn't destroy or stop the activity, then obviously it failed and the one bringing it about was thwarted.
Based on this, a Christian who believes in the biblical description of God as almighty, just, loving and righteous, cannot accept that view as authentic. Neither can they logically assume that the large men, such as Goliath spoken of in the OT, were Nephilim. They must have been mistaken as such due to their great size. But if we say they are Nephilim, then our view of God becomes a rather convoluted and controversial one and one which conveys a concept of the Biblical God as being at the mercy of any rebel angel who wants to ruin his plans and that kind of theology does not proceed from inspiration. That's why the apocryphal books were not permitted into the Biblical canon.
The truth is that no, demons nor angels have absolutely no power to thwart or frustrate God's plans. In fact, here is how they are described in reference to God:
James 2:19 NIV
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.
Mark 1:24 NIV
"What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!"
Mark 5:7
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
Romans 16:20 NIV
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
