These titles are controversial for some Christians because they think that they demote Jesus from being God himself to a mere spirit creature called an angel. But the truth is that te word angel merely means a messenger and Jesus described himself as the Messenger sent to Earth to bring hope to mankind. So should clearly not be controversial at all.
1. Messenger of the Covenant

2. Angel of the Lord
Those who believe that Jesus is also the angel of the Lord mentioned often in the Hebrew scriptures believe that jesus was given assignments on Earth prior to his encarnation as a man. He is identified with the angel that appeared to Moses in the burning bush at Mount Sinai and with the angel that led Israel away from Egypt during the Exodus.

4. Abbadon Appolyon
The most controversial one is the last one, because most Christians think that the Abyss is hell and that the angel spoken about in the book of Revelation written by the Apostle John while imprisoned on the island of Patmos is Satan God's chief adversary. The creatures that emerge from the abyss are viewed as demonic.
In contrast, those who say it applies to Jesus point out that jesus is God's chief executioner and that God destroys his enemies through Jesus. They also identify the creatures as symbolic representations of Christians who are preaching God's Word which torments those who oppose it.
