Refueling Depots! Excellent idea!

     This video discusses the way in which missions to the moon can be made far easier by providing refueling depots in earth orbit.  Another good idea is to use the Starship itself as a structure on the moon to set up a moon base. Of course, a greater shielding would be needed to protect the astronauts from the solar and cosmic-ray radiation. 

     But it would avoid to need to live underground in some lunar lava tube. The psychological advantages would be considerable. After all, the feeling of being entombed underground can be depressing. It would also minimize the hassle of having to deal with the abrasive lunar-dust that such an underground location would pose.
