Colorism is the practice of favoring lighter skin over darker skin. The preference for lighter skin can be seen within any racial or ethnic background.

Colorism is not Restricted to Latinos
There is a discussion concerning colorism among Latinos in which Latinos are depicted as being unusual because colorism exists among them. When I mentioned that colorism exists all over the world, they said that i am wrong. So I did some research to see if their claim had any validity and it only served to confirm what I already knew, that colorism is indeed not restricted to Latinos but exists everywhere, and even among black people themselves both in Africa and in the USA.
