Ukraine Strikes back: Downs Russian fighters
Not sure if the claim that Putin is panicking is true or not. However, he definitely cannot be pleased by what is happening to some of his forces. Especially since his constant warnings about aiding Ukraine are being totally ignored as well as his warning to nations such as Sweden and Finland about not getting closer to NATO. One thing is for sure, the inefficiency of the Russian forces has very effectively divested the Russian army of the aura of invincibility it had acquired during its war against NAZI Germany.
True, it had been tarnished a bit with its retreat from Afghanistan. But this is far more severe in both personnel and time. So Putin is definitely displeased. The crucial question is where will that displeasure lead? Will it lead to deployment of nuclear weapons as he has warned? If it does, then how will NATO's react-especially if such weapons are used on civilians, and the radiation threatens to drift towards NATO countries? It's hard to imagine NATO just sitting back and allowing such things. Especially when they are perpetrated by someone who does not respond to diplomacy and seems to have taken leave of his senses.
