All Puerto Ricans are Physically identical? Same DNA?
That idea is unfortunately a very popular misconception among the ignorant in the USA. Sorry but not all Puerto Rican share identical racial admixtures, and not all are mixed. You see, Puerto Rican is a nationality, not a race. Being a nationality, it includes people of all races, mixed and unmixed. For example there are Korean, Chinese, and other East Asian Puerto Ricans who are culturally Puerto Rican, have been raised on the island and speak Spanish better than I do. Yet they do not share the same DNA with the majority of Puerto Ricans.
There are also recently-arrived Puerto Ricans from all parts of the world’d who are not mixed in the way you describe. Some are Spaniards from Spain. Others, such as those residing in Loiza Aldea, are predominantly black, and their physical appearances show it.
You see, rich people try to conserve what they have among themselves. So Just as in all other Latin American countries, wealthy families, which were primarily of European descent, married only among themselves in order to reinforce social status. That's why all the island governors have been white. The misconception that all are the way that you imagine is due to the first wave of Puerto Ricans who arrived in the USA who were of the lower social economic level, and so they were not primarily of European descent. Same happens with Mexican who are primarily mestizo immigrants while the European ones stay in Mexico because they are doing just fine there. So Americans assume that all are mestizos. It's called the fallacy of overgeneralization based on unrepresentative evidence.
Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
