Effect of Satan’s intervention in Human affairs
This is in response to a recent statement that seemed to glorify Satan as if he were some kind of a benevolent creature worthy of respect. Does human history provide evidence that he is indeed noble and worthy of such respect? Well, please consider how Jesus described him and why.
Jesus described him as a liar and a murderer. Why? Well simple. He told Adam and Eve they would not die. Obviously they did. So in other words he murdered them by misleading them into a path of death. It is similar to a person telling you to walk in a direction that he knows will send you over a precipice onto the rocks below. Not manslaughter which is accidental. But full fledged murder.
John 8:44 NIV
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Has he changed after hundreds of years? Not at all! He and his brood who admired him were at it again in Noah’s day. Notice how those days in which he was active in human affairs are described.
Gen 6:
1Now when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, 2the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took as wives whomever they chose.
3So the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with mana forever, for he is mortal; his days shall be 120 years.”
4The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and afterward as well, when the sons of God had relations with the daughters of men. And they bore them children who became the mighty men of old, men of renown.
5Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great upon the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was altogether evil all the time. 6And the LORD regretted that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart. 7So the LORD said, “I will blot out man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—every man and beast and crawling creature and bird of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them.”

A violent Earth where half-breed giants and malicious fellow rebel angels misled mankind into thinking evil always isn’t quite what you would expect from a friend now is it? Some apocryphal writings even describe mankind as having become prey or a food source for the hybrid giants. Not that Satan could not have done otherwise since he does have free will. It is just that it pleases him to do such nasty things to mankind. That led to the destruction of all human life on Earth in order to cleanse it from Satan’s genetic interferences which involved even animal life.
Jesus Day
During Jesus day he was still at it. His demons were inflicting bodily harm on mankind, crippling and possessing people just for the fun of it wityh his full approval.
Mark 9:17-29
And someone from the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a spirit that makes him mute. And whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able.” And he answered them, “O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me.” And they brought the boy to him. And when the spirit saw him, immediately it convulsed the boy, and he fell on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth. And Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. ...
Luke 11:14 ESV / 11
Now he was casting out a demon that was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke, and the people marveled.
Luke 11:24 ESV
“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and finding none it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’

But surely with the passage of two thousand years, these vermin and their little leader have mellowed, right? Does he now seek to help mankind? Has he changed? Did he become noble after the passage of centuries? Not at all, the book of Revelation describes him as wrathful because he is thrown out from heaven and taking his frustration and wrath out on whom? On us of course!
Woe for Earth
Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was hurled down--the ancient serpent called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
Revelation 12:12
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."

So please tell me why any human in his right mind might be justified in respecting, praising or honoring such a creature?
