Just Kids with Sniffles the POTUS Says? Adult Lives Matter!
In a recent interview where the increasing cases of Corona Virus infections were mentioned, the POTUS, Donald Trump, remarked that most were just cases of kids with sniffles who would easily survive. Strange that the POTUS would dismiss sniffling, and the inevitable coughing and sneezing that usually accompanies it so frivolously despite supposedly knowing how deadly this virus can be to adults and especially to much older adults which constitute a signifcant percentage ofthe USA population.
Such a statement conveys the callous impression that it's OK for older people to die from being exposed to these kids as long as these contaminated kids survive. As usual, the question is: What does he mean? Obviously kids will touch their mouths and noses. They will then touch books and desks and anything within arm's reach such as doorknobs and TV remote controls. So is the POTUS telling us that it's OK merely because they themselves survive? If indeed it's OK for them to spread the virus because it won't kill them, then why isn't it OK for Adults who are immune carriers to spread it? They don't die either. They survive as well!
Care to answer that question Mister President? Also, Mr. President, would you allow one of those Corona-Virus-infected sniffling, kids to cough or sneeze in your Oval Office prior to you giving a national State of the Union Adress? If indeed you are unwilling to expose your own precious self that way. Please have the consideration of not attempting to expose others. Our lives matter as well regardless of our adult or advanced age.
