The Tao of the Supposedly Invulnerable Big Oaf
An oaf is a clumsy or stupid person or both. Big oafs come in all sizes and their clumsiness can be social as well as physical. However, the big oaf in question here, is one whose oafishness is inseparably related to his idea that being big grants him invulnerability ans who assumes that everyone smaller than him is afraid of him. This idea leads him into bullying his way through life counting on that imagined fear. If he sees a way to get involved in some public dispute by meddling into matters that don't concern him -he will,. All that is required is that he be bigger than the man he is facing. Of course being younger as well gives him the extra advantage that guarantees him invulnerability. So all those criteria having been met-he will oafishly get involved into arguments that are none of his business in the unshakable belief that the man who is older and smaller will cower before him as if in the presence of some unstoppable juggernaut.
Well, all well and good. However, one simple and obvious fact seems to escape this type of moron, the fact that size and age do not guarantee protection from an equalizer, such as a gun, a blunt bludgeoning, weapon or a slicer, such as a knife or carpet cutter. You see, unfortunately for the big OAF, despite his size and younger age, he bleeds just like everyone else, and if he bleeds, that means that he can be killed and can die a very gruesome death. Sure, it will take longer for the oaf to bleed out due to having a larger body. but rest assured, if the oaf's jugular vein is sliced suddenly then the big oaf will bleed out during a horrible death of gasping for air and drowning in his own blood.
No, of course I am not suggesting that a big Oaf who fancies himself invulnerable should be dealt in that way. Instead, the wise thing is to walk away from such a person and avoid winding up in prison or even on death row due to murder. Avoidance prevents that and also prevents the remorse that might arise once the anger has subsided and the horrendous nature of what has been done slowly sinks in. So the Christian way of patience and avoidance is the correct one. Not necessarily the easier one though, since some Big Oafs will say and do almost anything in order to have a chance to demonstrate just how physically strong they are, but the correct one nevertheless.
So I am merely pointing out just how silly and utterly irrational it if for someone to assume that an older and smaller person can't harm him simply based on those factors. Why? Simple! Because being older and smaller doesn't prevent such a person from suddenly, swiftly and unexpectedly using an equalizer to put a resounding end on the dispute and ignominious end on the Big of's life. That being the case, the big oafs of this world should seriously reconsider whether they assumption of invulnerability is indeed in harmony with reality-or whether it is merely a self-inflicted delusion which can very suddenly and painfully deposit then in the grave.
