The book of Enoch has always fascinated me despite being called apocryphal. After all, the detailed descriptions of life before the Noachian Flood can be found nowhere else. Then there is its mention in the New Testament where Jude-half-brother of Jesus quotes it directly which seems to indicate that it is indeed inspired and acceptably and trustworthy. Otherwise why quote from it? After all, in order to disqualify it we would need to believe that Jude was mistaken and that God allowed Jude to introduce falsehood into his scriptures. But the apostolic Paul within under inspiration clearly tells us that all scripture is inspired of God. So a rejection of the book of Enoch poses certain insurmountable theological problems.
Then we have its history of its acceptance as genuine by prominent Church Fathers until it was eventually condemned. If indeed it was that obviously non- scriptural, then how could it have been accepted for so long as genuine? Of course these questions are rhetorical since non -response is the agenda of most visitors to this site. but I pose it anyway rhetorically since it is definitely very relevant to the issue at hand.
Below are the biblical scriptures which mention Enoch directly and provide scanty details which the book pf Enoch very meticulously fills in.
The article below delves deeply into such issues and is very persuasive in its presentation of evidence in support of the Book of Enoch being inspired.

Genesis 5:18-24 [18] Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch. [19] After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. [20] So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died. [21] Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. [22] After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. [23] So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. [24] And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Jude 1:14-15 [14] Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, [15] to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."
