How is the Present Similar to Noah's day?
First, let's see what were the conditions that existed during Noah's day:
First, let's see what were the conditions that existed during Noah's day:
Gen 6:
6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Matthew 24:37-39
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that [Noah] entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
From this comparison, we can assume that mankind will be totally caught by surprise by God's sudden intervention in the world's affairs. Especially the atheists who fancy the universe as being bereft of a creator.
We can also assume that the moral ambience will be similar via a total disregard to God's moral principles and a constant choosing to do evil under the encouragement of evil spirits.
Which of course begs the question, is it indeed similar today? Well, judging by mankind's penchant towards violence, and the total disregard of the vast majority of mankind for God's moral principles, the only conclusion that can be reached is yes! This world is indeed identical to the world that existed during Noah's day, and as deserving of being destroyed as that other world had been.
No, it isn't necessary for those half breed giants be present, nor that the disobedient angels be materializing and having sex with women. That their evil will is being done, is sufficient to justify God's taking action as he did against that other morally-corrupted world. Which is of course exactly what he promises to do as the prophecies below clearly point out.

Daniel 2:44
44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.
2 Peter 3:13
But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
Revelation 21:4 ►
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
