Futuristic Solutions to Antisocial Behavior
In psychology there are two terms that are used in reference to discouraging or encouragement specific desired or undesired behavior,
1. Positive reinforcement
2. Negative reinforcement.
Positive reinforcement involves rewarding a behavior considered beneficial to the person and to society
Negative Reinforcement involves discouraging any behavior that is considered detrimental to the person and society.

No, there is nothing mysterious about it. It is used to control the behavior of animals, such as dogs and horses. After a while of being either punished or rewarded for unacceptable or acceptable behavior, such animals will do exactly as expected.
Well, we humans are no different. We will tend to repeat behavior that brings us a psychological reward, and avoid behaviors that are followed by physical or psychological discomfort.
Such a strategy in controlling behavior is sometimes depicted in sci fi futuristic films where humans are constantly under surveillance from armed hovering drones which punish antisocial behavior.
Or else humans are depicted as strapped with ankle-bands which inflict agonizing pain whenever the citizens disobey society's strict rules.
Will such a scenario ever become a reality? Well, I once considered it rather far-fetched based on the modern democratic ideals of human rights. However, after observing the behavior of constant violence which kids, adolescents and adults engage in as shown in videos that recorded those events, I now believe that it might indeed be considered necessary sometime in the not too distant future to try this solution in order to introduce some semblance of sanity back into human society.
To illustrate what this means, picture this. In the far-future, imagine that kids are beginning to congregate in a school restroom in order to fight and record the fight, when suddenly, an armed drone appears hovering and threatening to unload its crippling weapons and the kids immediately disband.
Or else imagine that as soon as they are about to fight, their ankle bracelets which were attached at birth, or else some microchip imbedded at birth, delivers and agonizing electrical shock.
Now, under such unrelenting painful discouragement, how long would adults and kids continue to attempt to savage one another as they are doing now? Not for long, since the repeated infliction of pain would have soon convinced them that it just isn't worth it. Far fetched? Maybe. Effective? You bet!
