Hispanic is Not a Race
Despite the constant reminders posted in order to reduce the incidence of Hispanics being classified as a race, USA non-Latino citizens continue to ignorantly refer to Hispanics as a race.
So here is yet another reminder that such a conclusion is based on a profound ignorance and not on provable nor observable evidence.
The concept of 'ethnicity' contrasts with that of 'race' in that it is concerned with group cultural identity or expression whereas 'race' focuses on physical and biogenetic traits.
So obviously, Hispanic cannot be a race, since it clearly fails to meet the definition requirement of, its members all sharing the same genetic heredity. Instead, the term Hispanic includes people of all races, such as black, white, East Asian, Native American, Mestizos, Mulatos, etc. who share a common core Latino culture.
True, some, such as mestizos and mulatos, are mixed. Yet others are not.
Also, and very significantly, anthropologists don't employ skin-color as the primary criteria for identifying membership into races as USA Americans ignorantly do. If anthropologists did, then the majority of North-East Asians, such as Koreans, Mongolians, Manchurians, and most Japanese, would be considered white, while many Europeans, classified as Caucasian, would be deemed non-white.
That is very basic anthropology.
