The "You are racist if you criticize me" Phenomenon
In other words, if you don't let me run completely amok, then you are racist.
Another objection is that the criticism is biased because the group is being criticized with greater frequency. Which, of course, begs the question as to why the group is receiving more criticism.
Might it not simply be that the group is displaying antisocial behavior to a greater degree than other groups? That the group might be drawing more attention to itself in that negative way? Even better, might the statistics not indicate that such is indeed the case?
So before one accuses another person of being racist because the person criticizes anti social behavior, why not calmly take all those very significant factors into serious consideration? Or is the need to continue down the same road so strong that desisting is conveniently deemed an impossibility?
Nobody enjoys having their behavior criticized. Especially when they consider the behavior OK. Nothing unusual, that is a normal human reaction. Unfortunately, it constitutes a very significant obstacle to accepting helpful advise.
You see, thieves, don't want someone telling them to stop. So they will cunningly concoct all kinds of different reasons to justify their conduct. For example, they might accuse the person criticizing them of being a racist
.
It goes something like this:
I will steal, and if you try to stop me, or criticize me, then you are racist.
I will murder, and if you criticize me you are racist.
I will set property on fire, and if you say something negative about me, then you are racist.
I will gang up ten on one and stomp people on the head, and if you criticize me, then you are a racist
