Former Bethelite Accuses JWs as having Satan as Their Christ.
Now. please note that this former Bethelite describes many things that JWs are doing wrong and his warnings are appreciate. However, his video that accuses JWs of having Satan as their Christ takes it a bit too far.
To begin with, I never heard any JWs claiming that Satan is their Christ, nor that they derived authority from the Devil. Instead, I heard them constantly declaring that they were attempting to vindicate God's name from the false accusations that Satan propagates, such as the hellfire doctrine that attempts to depict God as being sadistic. Or the immortality of the soul false doctrine that supports the satanic lie told to Eve that we don't really die.
I heard them describing how the Devil will soon be destroyed along with his demons and all who support this sinful world that opposes God's kingdom. Observed then describing how the Devil will ultimately be destroyed in the symbolic Lake of Fire.
Such JWS teaching are well-known and are characteristic of the message which they preach to others and at their meetings.
They are also constantly warning against delving into occult practices because such practices place people in dangerous contact with evil spirits. In fact, they have complete articles warning against the dangers of such practices which are all supported by scriptural texts.
Yes, I do agree that they are wrong in some doctrinal beliefs. But depicting them as if they are all happily and knowingly worshiping the Devil is wrong.
True, they say that the Devil was THROWN OUT OF HEAVEN in 1914. But that doesn't mean that they admire the Devil. Nor that they consider the Devil their Christ or chosen one.
Quite to the contrary, they consider the event simply as a sign that Jesus took full power in Heaven at that time and that the end of this Satanic system is near including the destruction of the Devil whom this former Bethelite claims that they worship, is very near. It doesn't take rocket scientist nor Genius to see that is what they are talking about, and that this accusation is false.
What Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Believe?
www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/jehovah-witness-beliefs/Salvation. Deliverance from sin and death is possible through the ransom sacrifice of Jesus. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 4:12) To benefit from that sacrifice, people must not only exercise faith in Jesus but also change their course of life and get baptized. (Matthew 28:19, 20; John 3:16; Acts 3:19, 20) A person’s works prove that his faith is alive. (James 2:24, 26) However, salvation cannot be earned—it comes through “the undeserved kindness of God.”—Galatians 2:16, 21.
Evil and suffering. These began when one of God’s angels rebelled. (John 8:44) This angel, who after his rebellion was called “Satan” and “Devil,” persuaded the first human couple to join him, and the consequences have been disastrous for their descendants. (Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 5:12) In order to settle the moral issues raised by Satan, God has allowed evil and suffering, but He will not permit them to continue forever.
