Places to avoid camping at
I place this under the category of humor because I and many others who watched it consider it funny. At first, i was listening intently for the wisdom about to be revealed because as a former camper at the Catskill and Adirondack Mountains in New York State, at camping sites such as Beaver Kill, North Lake, Lake George, and Woodland Valley, I know the difficulties involved. But then, as the narrator went on and on, it suddenly dawned on me that he was describing approx 99 percent of the camping locations as dangerous.
For example, forest clearances that seemed ideal to set up camp might actually be semi-solid swamps, that could drag you under while you slumbered in your tent.
Nearby rivers might overflow and sweep you away.
Tree branches above your tent might be dry and suddenly drop off and brain you while you slept. They might also harbor spiders and bees that might consider you fair game. Some lightning bolt might choose your tree as its target and jolt you into oblivion.
Valleys risked inundations while high ground exposed you to the intense solar radiation that would fry you.
After a while, I found myself chuckling and decided that this must be some sort of a joke. Otherwise if taken seriously, you would never dare to go camping at all. Here, see for yourselves.
