The Bible doesn't teach racial superiority.
This was my response to a person claiming that the black race is the superior race physically and that the Bible supports that view.
The Bible does not teach that one race is superior to another. Instead it teaches that as descendants of Adam all mankind inherited his sin and death.
Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 5:12
12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—
Romans 5:12
12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—
Also, if indeed your claim of racial superiority were true, then the lifespans would be very different. Blacks would be living for three to four hundred years while all other races would be dying out at approx 78. All other races would be suffering from illnesses while blacks remained healthy. All other races would be sinful while blacks would display a very saintly nature. Do we see this? No!
Sorry but I do not choose to ignore anything that the Bible CLEARLY teaches. Neither do I take liberties with symbolic language in order to promote racist ideas. If I were to take the language used in the book of Revelation literally, I would have Jesus looking like a lamb, with a sword sticking our of his mouth and his face being as white as the sun with his legs looking like burnished copper. Should I imagine him that way?
About Adam being white? I never claimed that Adam had white skin, was Nordic, blond with blue eyes. But neither am I claiming that he was black. Being the progenitor of all the extreme diversity that we see, he could have looked the part. On the other hand, the extremes of appearances we see today are caused by geographical isolation. In any case, we are all sinners and die and are in need of Christ's ransom sacrifice.
