UN report warns of accelerating sea-level rise

     Funny how this is similar to someone telling us that our bathtub is overflowing and we respond with: " Don't worry! I have it under observation!" as if having something under intense observation has any effect on it's imminent overflow.

     One intense observation documentary follows another as our seas rise.  We are shown glaciers sliding into the sea. Islands being slowly inundated and the northern arctic icecap shrinking.  Yet all we get is videos of scientists taking measurements and making predictions. 

     You can make a million documentaries demonstrating just how meticulously this process is proceeding and it won't make the slightest difference in its inexorable progression. The expectation that such observations should make us all feel a little safer is ludicrous. Here comes a left hook! Don't worry! I am keeping it under intense observation. 

     The sad truth is that those who are in charge are not personally in any danger from the rising sea. It is those who live on the coastlines of the world and whose geographical areas  are barely above sea level, such as Bangladesh, and the southern Florida  and Eastern USA coasts as well as certain Pacific islands who will be screwed. These other people who can do something but don't, have where to go.
