Careful with Dogs licking your face!
Having a dog lick one's face feels good because we as humans interpret it as a sign of affection. In fact, that is one reason why dogs are so popular. Unfortunately, there is a health-risk involved. You see, contrary to popular opinion, either a cat or dog can carry infection-causing bacteria its saliva.
This isn't surprising since dogs have the habit of sniffing one another's buts, rummaging all over the place sniffing garbage or whatever catches its interest, as well as licking its own gonads. The same cat that is licking your face, might be the same cat that moments before had been licking a dead rat. So it should be obvious that the snouts of such animals are not particularly sanitary.
Evidence? Well, look at what the articles below say about it and then decide if indeed having your pet lick your face is worth the risk

As I said, anyone willing to risk it is OK by me, as long as I am not involved. No, I am not claiming it is common. But it does happen. The problem is, that unlike most humans, pets are far are less careful of what they put into their mouths. The video and articles below explain it in detail.
