What is Astronomy?
Astronomy (from Greek: ἀστρονομία) is a natural science that studies celestial objects and phenomena. It uses mathematics, physics, and chemistry to try and explain their origin and evolution. Objects of interest include planets, moons, stars, nebulae, galaxies, and comets. Relevant phenomena include supernova explosions, gamma ray bursts, quasars, blazars, pulsars, and cosmic microwave background radiation. More generally, astronomy studies everything that originates outside Earth's atmosphere. Cosmology is a branch of astronomy. It studies the Universe as a whole. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronomy
What is Astrology?
Astrology
Some people might confuse Astrology with Astronomy. They are completely different. Astrology is a pseudoscience that strives to see a relationship between the position of heavenly bodies, as viewed from our Earth, and human behavior. For example, the constellations under which a person is born, such as Gemini, Taurus, Capricorn, are said to influence personalities. Believers might delay making certain decisions until the heavenly bodies are in what they consider advantageous positions. Failures in business ventures and incompatibility of personalities in marriage might be attributed to choices made during the wrong astrological signs.
