Nationality vs. Race
The video above raised the controversy in relation to the identity of the two men involved. One was assumed to be a Latino. The other was assumed to be an African American. This struck me as a conclusion base on the unjustifiable assumption that all Latinos resemble the fellow in the video.
The second controversy centered around his being described as Spanish, which they took as a reference to Spaniard. They claimed he could not be from Spain because Spaniards don't look that way.
But that is not an impossibility. There are Spaniards who do not look northern European. Such Spaniards are more common in the region of Andalucía. There are also Spaniards who are decedents of relatively recent immigrants from such countries as Armenia.

Chinese Spaniards
Chinese people in Spain form the ninth-largest non-European Union foreign community in Spain. As of 2009, official figures showed 145,425 Chinese citizens residing in Spain; however, this figure does not include people with origins in other Overseas Chinese communities, nor Spanish citizens of Chinese origin or descent.

In short, Spaniard is not a race. It is a nationality. Northern Spaniards, such as those from Galicia, Catalonia, and the Basque region, frequently look different from Southern Spaniards.
So that's like saying that a person can't be from England because the person is black or looks Chinese when their are millions of blacks born in England and thousands of persons born and raised in England of Chinese descent.
