Why?
Why is it that so many people today feel that they have the right to attack another person physically over a disagreement? Also, why are so any people expressing so much pleasure in seeing other human beings getting beaten up? Is it the violence that they are exposed to constantly in the entertainment media such as TV and in video games? Why do they feel it's cool to laugh at human suffering? Or why do they cheer on those who are abusing someone else instead of trying to help the victim? At the least to call the police instead of laughing in admiration and filming?
Just recently, I saw this video where this fellow is driving by, sees two males beating up one male, stops his car, and the starts filming and cheering them on. Why was he taking their side? Because he wanted film them in safety? Because he will get money from posting it on YouTube? No matter how you look at it, it's disgusting.
It reminded me of this scene that I saw in a film about a Jewish concentration camp in Nazi Germany where these guards were forcing a Jewish prisoner to march while beating him all over the body, forcing him to beat a drum, and if he fell, they beat him harder.
So when he would fall, they would beat him harder, forcing him to get up. All because he was Jewish. Then upon reaching the chosen destination, they really started beating him with clubs, and his agony was such, that he could not even scream. The only difference is that there was no demon-like human cheering them on as is the case in the video I just watched.
This garbage made me sick to my stomach, and convinced me that having a gun is a must. If not a gun, at least something that would tend to equalize things just a little.
It also made me seriously wonder why God keeps permitting this kind of thing to go on instead of intervening and bringing this tragedy to an end. What is he waiting for? Isn't it more than obvious that certain people do not deserve to exist?
It really makes me wonder about Genesis saying that man was created God's image. On the other hand, there is another image that humans are able to reflect, that of Satan. So that would explain this disgusting phenomenon.

John 8: 44
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires.
