What will it be like on the Starship?
Well, after watching this video I would say that the trip will be very unpleasant. The designers of this ship see to be under the misguided impression that humans are machines devoid of certain emotional needs such as the need for ample private area in which to sleep, read or be intimate with one another. Otherwise, why would they tell us that the crews members will have to live in cramped closets?
Or is intimacy prohibited on this six month journey? If indeed it is, then where do they expect it to take place, in public view? Why hasn't this crucial factor been taken into serious consideration. Why not provide a larger quarters for couples?
As it is now, all you can do is to get in and lie or sit down. Nothing at all like those Star Trek rooms on the Enterprise. In other words, you either are sitting or lying in a closet, or else are forced to be in public view.
Next there is the psychological impact that the ship's surroundings have on the human mind. Especially when one is demanding that the human mind calmly accept the terrifying fact that every second leaves Earth farther and farther behind. The Starship interior doesn't seem to take this very crucial psychological factor into consideration, since everything within sight is metal and plastic. So instead of trying to create an ambience resembling nature on Earth, such as scenes of cascading water, or else of dense vegetation and wildlife, the ship's interior reinforces the disturbing impression that those things are being left far behind.
Were I a suspicious person, I might start suspecting the the Star Ship's designers were trying to sabotage the mission due to some personal gripe against Musk.
