The Being

The being had arrived at the great assembly hall attired in flowing white garments that emitted a steady glow. The golden eyes and flowing ivory-colored hair he had adopted for the occasion, made him stand out from the rest of the attendants who were mostly humanoids derived from the human race via its planetary colonization efforts. Having chosen to assume a fifteen-foot height, he also towered above them all, and they avoided his eyes as he passed, as if meeting his gaze for too long were forbidden, or else might prove fatal.
The Being was walking on an emerald paved walkway leading to an elevated platform bordered by thousands of humanoids who were standing in utter silence. The being had heard a rumble of conversation just moments before the gargantuan silver doors had parted to allow him passage and the two humanoid guards stationed at each side had bowed and fallen to one knee as he entered. But now, suddenly, all conversations had ceased among the throngs, and heads were lowered in humble respect.
Despite his calm demeanor, the being was instantaneously detecting the nuances of profound reverence of many present as well as the concealed hypocrisies of others. He knew it all instantly and in minute detail. Every single emotion that had attended every one of their deeds. Every single convoluted plan that had ever been carefully fashioned in secret. Every breath that had ever been taken by every single life that had ever existed to their last tremulous exhalation. All perceived in the span of a nano-second. All while simultaneously being aware of all events that were transpiring throughout the universe at that moment.
When he reached the podium, all took their seats and waited for whatever he had to say. In turn the being observed them with compassion and understanding. These great creatures who had only recently thought themselves masters of creation. Who had believed that they could wantonly do as they pleased without being accountable to anyone besides themselves. Material creatures assuming that they could rampage his cosmos without any serious repercussions. Believing that they alone, should set the standards for right and wrong. Haughty, stubborn creatures who had even gone as far as to deny his very existence.
Now, how humble they all appeared. How willing to cooperate and to do as they were being told. How eager they all now seemed to please, and to subsume their own selfish ambitions to his will.
Yet it had not always been so. At first, the being's intervention in their affairs was deemed to have been from a mere alien. Some powerful extraterrestrial who would be shunted aside easily and be tagged as irrelevant just as the hostile aliens that they had encountered had been.
But then, when when they finally realized that the he was far more, instead of acknowledging his right to be their lawgiver, they had attempted to destroy him. They had secretly assembled and discharged their anti-matter weapons point-blank at his physical manifestations emerging suddenly from hyperspace during peaceful communications,. Then they had observed in horror as he had calmly cupped the vast energies within the palms of his glowing hands and had smilingly imbibed them.
They had also watched helplessly as their vaunted starship fleets had proven unable to encircle him because he would manifest himself to be everywhere at once. So after years of utter failure, they decided that negotiation was the course of wisdom. Ambassadors from a thousand worlds had attempted to negotiate on their own terms, but to no avail. The being had demanded an unconditional surrender which they were unwilling to concede.
Gradually, and grudgingly, they finally realized that resisting the being with the forces at their disposal was useless. They also grudgingly concluded that the being opposing them was not merely some alien with far superior technology. But that the one who was opposing them was actually the being described in the Bible as the I Am, and that those powerful luminous entities who had been observed occasionally assisting him, were not extraterrestrials from some undiscovered planet, as they had assumed, but his heavenly faithful angels.
It was at that crucial moment of realization that the stubborn among them appealed for assistance from the being's enemies in the spirit world-the one called Devil and his fallen angels. They had successfully communicated with these entities via human mediums who served as intermediaries. From such communications, pacts had been hurriedly made, treaties of cooperation between humans and devils to overthrow this being who had dared to demand obedience.
Finally, after ceaseless and meticulous preparation, a hybrid amalgamation of material and spiritual energies were projected in the being's direction at a moment when the precise location of his very essence had been pinpointed. After the attack, their seemed no longer any evidence of the being's existence. As if he had been obliterated from the material universe or else discouraged from any further meddling. Once that was ascertained to their satisfaction, they effusively announced the being dead.
Immediately, vast cosmic celebrations had been held throughout the colonized universe as the majority of sentient reasoning creatures rejoiced. Of course, the being's spirit enemies saw their chance and took it. Orgies began to be held under demonic direction in which every moral prohibition that was written in the Bible was violated. Under the demonic influence humanoid inhabited worlds began to resemble a snake pit of venomous vipers.
That was until all planetary and interstellar communication was suddenly interrupted by the being's message to desist. Having panicked, the intergalactic military leaders once more sought help from their spirit world overlords. But this time, the spirit mediums could no longer make any contact and began to have fatal heart attacks during those efforts The few who managed to get feebly through, only managed to hear cries of fear from the spirit entities in their final death-throes pleading for mercy.
Even worse, this time all humanoid weaponry was rendered totally inoperative. In some cases, as if a practical joke, weapons only managed to discharge water or a burst of flowers such as roses and daffodils. Then crops began to fail on the agricultural worlds. Threats of impending starvation induced mass interplanetary migrations overloading the resources of the host planets.
Then stable stars, including the Sun, began displaying dangerous irregularities. Instabilities that would ultimately prove deadly as they threated to envelop planets in their orbits. Relatively inactive black holes began expanding at alarming rates, pulling in nearby stars causing beams of radiation from galactic centers missing populated planets by a hairbreadth.
It was at this crucial point that the leaders of the Inter-Galactic League of Planets finally decided on unconditional surrender. It was delivered via prayer, and all affronts to the being's sovereignty finally ceased.
Now today, in this grand cosmic assembly, the being stands majestically before the throngs of submissive creatures. He smiles benignly, and of course, they all obediently say! Amen!
