Is it worth a Nuclear War?
This is a follow-up to the previous thread concerning a response to my suggestion that United-Nations-supervised vote be held to determine whether the Russian election-results in the annexed regions of Ukraine were genuine.
Now, this fellow took very serious umbrage with this suggestion, and posted several reasons why a military solution is preferable. In turn, I replied with a rebuttal outlining the reasons why each of his suggestions is morally wrong, and how he is placing rules above the well-being of mankind.
Well, since he obviously had no reply to my counterargument, and panicked, he proceeded to resort to name-calling. Said I was deep in the Alice In Wonderland Rabbit's hole. He even began to criticize this website as having absolutely no merit. All of which, of course, is totally irrelevant to the counter-argument that I posted. So let me address those two issues that he brought up.
Lets just say that preferring to provoke a nuclear war, rather than to attempt to find a solution via some compromise acceptable to both sides, is not exactly what is considered an indicator of sanity. Neither is an inflexible, fanatical preference for following rules above all other considerations.
Diplomacy in such a situation where the very existence of all life one Earth is in serious jeopardy, should obviously be the preferable choice. Escalation leading to disaster of such magnitude is obviously madness.

Crazy for Preferring a Diplomatic Solution??

A worthless Website?
Once more, his personal opinion of this website had nothing to do with the issues that were being discussed and gives the impression that he doesn't have a leg to stand on. The website gets approx. 100-plus visitors a day, that's 3000 per month, which is 36,000 per year. So obviously, not everyone shares his opinion. Neither does his accusation that the information posted here is worthless have and grounds in reality.
