Hypothetical Journey to Earth's Core
As a kid, I read the sci fi classic story Journey to the Center of the Earth written by the famous French writer Jules Verne. At that time, I was totally unaware of the impossibility of such a journey and of the inaccuracies involved. So an ocean and the lush vegetation along with prehistoric creatures thriving there, did not seem implausible in the least. I imagine that Jules Verne either knew about the impossibilities, or else was simply putting it forth s a type of fantasy. He did take tie to read and many of his novels were based on inventions, such as Nemo's Submarine in the story 20,000 leagues under the Sea, that were beginning to take shape. However in this one it seems that he simply threw caution to the wind. IMHO. www.discoverwalks.com/blog/9-interesting-facts-about-jules-verne/
A more realistic depiction of such a journey was portrayed in the Film The Core. wherein a crew head for the center of the Earth in this special machine that shields them from both the heat and the pressures.
The Core is a 2003 American science fiction disaster film directed by Jon Amiel and starring Aaron Eckhart, Hilary Swank, Delroy Lindo, Stanley Tucci...
This video, attempts to depict facts based on what is known about Earths core and how a journey towards it would seem to us if we could survive it.

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
