Russia fighting against 'all 40 million Ukrainians'
I find this savagely bloody war between these two nations extremely strange. They are practically brother-nations in culture as well as race. Apparently this yet another historical example of how such factors mean absolutely nothing when human selfishness and irrationality become the motivating factors of behavior.
Still, one would not expect such savagery perpetrated against Ukrainian civilians as is being discovered to occur. Why? Simple, because it smacks of an innate hatred towards the people being attacked.
Which causes us to wonder exactly how the Ukrainians could have earned such deep fanatical hatred? After all, they gave up their nuclear weapons when Russia requested it, did they not? They never joined NATO as Russia demanded, did they not? So why this intense irrational animosity?
