The KBC Void and Local Void

     To our naked eye, the real nature of the universe isn't at all apparent since all we see are the stars which are members of our Milky Way Galaxy in which our solar system is located.

     However, from the vantage point of radio telescopes which perceive radiation originating beyond it, it has become very clear that the universe is organized into galaxies containing millions of stars, and galaxies  are in turn organized into clusters and that these clusters of galaxies, are gathered into super-clusters, and that separating these super cluster filaments, are large relatively empty spaces which astronomers call voids.
