Still Stuffed in Capsules and Modules? Strange!
Excuse me for finding it strange that NASA is still cramming its astronauts in capsules and modules. After all, this is the year 2023, and they were doing the exact same thing back in the 1960s. That's approx. sixty years ago and one would expect a little progress in that area. Actually, based on the film 2001, a Space Odyssey, we all took it for granted that the progress would be very significant indeed.
The film confidently predicted a very extensive and sophisticated moon base, a spacious space station with artificial gravity, and luxurious spaceships. Had the film predicted astronauts still crammed into modules and capsules and still wallowing around in low earth orbit, while fearfully talking about the challenge of going to the moon in the way NASA is still doing, we would have found it totally unbelievable since it would have indicated a fantastic amount of lack of progress and an inexcusable unbelievable technological stagnation that would have defied credibility due to its extremely improbable absurdity.
