Stream of Consciousness writing
I have always been fascinated with this style but have never tried to become good at it. It does offer a freedom of expression that other styles don't provide. Freedom from grammar, punctuation, and even logical coherent progression. So I guess that's one of its greatest allures. The downside is that although the writer might understand meaning the reader might be totally confused about what is going on.
In such cases, the work can become similar to abstract art where meaning can be very elusive if not totally beyond the reach of bort the author, and the viewer. Perhaps open to multiple interpretations or perhaps to non. Words conveying a clash of images and sounds which alone would be nothing but which working togther in some mysterious ways produce a fascinating work of literary art
