Demographics of Latin American Countries

     The reason I post this is because many USA residents are in the habit of posting mere opinions about the people of Latin American countries as if they were indisputable fact without even having made the slightest effort to investigate whether their claims are accurate or not. 

     One erroneous assumption is that the mixing of black with white, or mulatto,  is the predominant mix. It is not. The predominant mix in Latin America is White and Native American-called Mestizo. So to help dispel these silly notions, the following data is provided.

Honduras:

Mestizos (Native American mixed with European) make up more than 90% of the population of Honduras.

Amerindians are 6% of the population

and AfroHondurans comprise 3%
