What Type of Spaniard does the White Puerto Rican resemble?
I encountered this ignorant question on Quora website where controversial questions on many subjects are asked and answered. Here is the way I responded to it.
Spaniards don’t have one uniform appearance. There are Nordic types with typical Nordic features, such as light colored skin, blond hair and blue eyes. These are usually found in the Northern part of Spain. But there are also Mediterranean types who are darker of skin, dark hair and dark eyes. These are mostly found in the southern parts of Spain where the Arab invasion influence was much stronger.
There is also a small minority of black Spaniards. Why? Well, because a Spaniard is a nationality and not a race. However, generally speaking most are of the white race. But the question is nonsensical and can;’t really be answered in the way it is asked because it is based on a false assumption. In short, a white Puerto Rican might resemble a certain type of Spaniard but not another. It all depends what type of white Puerto Rican the Puerto Rican is.
