Boxer and Ref Collusion is Disgusting
Absolutely no points were deducted or even a warning given, even though the punches on the back of the head happened when Ruiz was with his chest against the ropes, had one knee on the canvas. He was also hit repeatedly below the belt. In fact, the ref refused to provide Ruiz a chance to recover from a low blow as the rules demand, instead, he ordered Hay to continue his attack and then stopped ir when Ruiz was too hurt to defend himself. He also let Hay hit him after the bell. Also allowed him to use his head as a battering ram. So they were definitely in cahoots.
The British Audience
Another matter that was disgusting in this fight was the British audience's approval of this injustice. They cheered and celebrated as if Haye had actually won fairly. As if Ruiz deserved to be treated that way, and deserved absolutely no right to interfere with their fighter's career by inflicting a loss. I had never seen that type of reaction from any boxing audience before. Instead, audiences always booed any fighter that blatantly broke the rules in that way.
The commentators are biased since they are accusing Ruiz of claiming fouls instead of being actually fouled. Trying to get points deducted instead of admitting that Haye deserved to have points deducted.
